The City of Holbrook is being beautified with 13 new trees. Six of the trees are being planted at Hunt Park by city employees Michael Kennedy (left) and Napo Baldonado. Three more will be planted at city hall, two at the historic courthouse and two at the Seventh Street softball field. According to Parks and Recreation Director John Guttery, the trees are Ash and Purple Plum, and will grow at a rapid rate to replace the ones removed earlier this year at Hunt Park by Arizona Public Service Co., which provided vouchers for six of the new trees. In addition, two ramadas are being added at the park to provide additional shade.
