Snowflake Councilwoman Lorri Davis tendered her resignation at the Oct. 23 council meeting, effective today (Oct. 31).
Davis has serve five years on the council and cited the need to move for employment. Her husband Scott has worked for Catalyst Paper Mill for many years and with the recent mill closure, she felt lucky they have found employment in a place where they have several old friends and 10 grandchildren: Pleasant Grove, Utah.
“I love this town very much,” said Davis. “I’m grateful that Scott and I were able to sell our home. We feel things are falling into place to go where we’re going.”
“I have enjoyed working with everyone on the town council, with staff,” she said. “It’s been a great experience to be able to serve the people of Snowflake.”
“We do accept your resignation and are grateful for the service you’ve rendered to our town and the community, and wish the best for you,” said Mayor Kelly Willis.
