A beloved local holiday tradition, the Taylor Grand Ball, will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at the LDS Stake Center at 309 W. Willow Lane in Taylor. The main entrance is located on the east side of the building, which has an ample parking lot.
The theme this year is, All Heroes Come Home for Christmas, and a warm invitation is extended to all adults in the White Mountain community.
A delicious hot dinner buffet will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Guests will eat in the large cultural hall, which is always decorated with a festive flair. Special overflow rooms are also provided in case of large numbers of attendees. To help make the meal extra special, eager youth servers are always on hand to wait tables.
Talented members of the Heber area will provide a short Christmas program, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Then the hall dance floor will be cleared of tables in anticipation of the dance starting about 8 p.m.
This year, Take Cover, a highly recommended band from the Valley, has been invited to provide the dance music for the Grand Ball. Get ready for a fun time as they perform an eclectic mix of rock, country and Christmas tunes from the ‘60s through today’s hits. There is sure to be something for everyone.
Dancing usually winds down sometime around 11 p.m.
The cost is $5 per person, and the attire is Sunday best or dressy casual.
