The Winslow High School wrestling team lost a dual match with the Coconino High School team, 46-30, on Nov. 28 at Flagstaff.
Jake Martin of Coconino won an 11-6 decision in the 106-pound match over Blane Foster. In the 111-pound match, Coconino’s Collin Anderson pinned Tyrail Smith.
Winslow’s David Archibeque pinned Jordan Kriesel in the 120-pound match. In the 126-pound match, Coconino’s Gabriel Galaviz pinned Leo Armijo.
Daniel Lopez got the Bulldogs back in the win column in the 132-pound match when he pinned Conner Strahm. In the 138-pound match, Chad Edgmon of Winslow pinned Tanner Stubbs. Adrian Montoya kept the Bulldogs on the winning track when he pinned Uriah Dobell.
Mica Barker of Coconino turned things around for the Panthers when he pinned Cody Sanchez in the 152-pound match. Patrick Battali of Coconino won a decision over Jack Fela 12-5 in the 160-pound match. In the 170-pound match, Jesse McLain of Coconino pinned Dustin.
Jacob Huddleston of Winslow collected a forfeit win in the 182-pound match over Jerome Crowther. Christian Morris of Coconino pinned Chad Colvin in the 195-pound match.
Josh Freeman of Coconino won an 11-0 major decision over Justin Brinkley in the 220-pound match. Jared Krall of Coconino pinned Erick Nelson in the 285-pound match.
The Bulldogs will host a meet at 4 o’clock this afternoon (Dec. 5) with Show Low, Snowflake and River Valley.
