The first reading of an ordinance establishing licensing time frames in compliance with state law was held during a special meeting of the Taylor Town Council Nov. 29.
The ordinance states that the purpose “is to establish both administrative completeness review and substantive review time frames for licenses, as defined in (state law) issued by the Town of Taylor…”
Administrative completeness time frames were set in Exhibit A of the ordinance, and a hearing officer position was established to hear and decide all appeals of decisions denying any application for licensure under the ordinance.
The second reading and more discussion are scheduled at tonight’s (Dec. 5) regular council meeting.
