James Albert McNabb, 63, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at his home in Holbrook. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 212 E. Arizona St. in Holbrook. Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., and burial will follow at Holbrook Cemetery.
He was born May 19, 1949, in Holbrook to Theodore Fisher McNabb and Julia Pauline Fracassini McNabb.
Jimmy was a kind, gentle man who loved history, animals, President Kennedy, building models, antique cars and collecting guns.
He began surveying with his father and later worked for the Arizona Highway Dept. for more than 10 years. Jimmy worked at Cholla Power Plant for 26 years, where he loved the people he worked with and his job. He is now whistling in Heaven.
Survivors include his two daughters, Stacy (Richard) Nowell and Amanda (Craig) Remos, both of Holbrook; two grandchildren, Brooke and Brady Nowell; a brother, Teddy (Mona) McNabb of Holbrook; a sister, Judy Queen of Show Low; and many nieces and nephews.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.
