The Blue Ridge Yellowjackets nipped the Bulldogs 62-56 in overtime in a game played Dec. 11 at Winslow. The loss dropped Winslow’s record to 8-4 for the season.
The game was extremely close throughout and was tied 11-11 after the first period. The Bulldogs led 25-23 at the half and 40-39 after three quarters. The teams were tied at 47-47 at the end of regulation. Eight of 10 free throws hit by the Yellowjackets in overtime was the difference. Winslow made all four of its charities in overtime, but was outscored 15-9.
Michael Goldtooth led all scorers with 23 points for the Bulldogs. Lucas Shirley added 10 points.
Blue Ridge was led by Josh Desmond with 17 points. Trey Trigieth scored 15 for the Yellowjackets and McKay Berges scored 9

The Bulldogs were to host Page on Tuesday, and will play the Vikings at Williams on Thursday, Dec. 20. They will also participate in the Tournament of Champions scheduled Dec. 27-29 at Chinle to complete the 2012 portion of their schedule.
