Herman J. Claw, 60, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. A graveside service was held Dec. 31 at the Lower Greasewood Cemetery.
He was born May 31, 1952. His Kinyaa’aanii’ was the Tower House Clan, his Tl izi’ lani’ was Many Goats, his Tsen’jikini was Honey Combed Rock People and his Tabaaha’ was the Water Edge Clan.
Herman was raised in Greasewood, and was a ranchman. He trained horses and worked on a farm for many years. He loved the outdoors, and he loved working with horses, one of the special gifts he was blessed with. He could train any horse and he did the best he could.
He was a very generous man with a big heart. He has many nieces and nephews that he loved. Herman will be missed by many people, but he is in heaven with our Heavenly Father.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Claw; his siblings, Cecelia Hemphill, James Claw Jr., Ethal Hill, Edith Begay and Timothy Claw; and his significant other of four years, Bernice Davis.
