One man was killed and other people were injured in a three-vehicle accident that took place on a two-lane stretch of State Route 260 west of Christopher Creek at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29.
According the Department of Public Safety, the crash claimed the life of Randy Morris, 49, of Albert Lea, Minn., who was the driver of one of the vehicles. His passenger was Leanne Morris, 48, also of Albert Lea. A second vehicle was driven by Melonie Turley, 48, with passengers Garth Turley, 49, Laneah Turley, 8, and Isaac Turley, 18, all of Taylor. The third vehicle, driven by Timothy Claw, 22, held passengers Kirston Ashley, 23, and Karter Ashley-Claw, 1, all of Phoenix.
According to the report, for an unknown reason the vehicle driven by Turley crossed the centerline and struck the other two vehicles. A number of people were reportedly transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
