Rose Marie Gonzales-Nagle, 52, was called by our Lord on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in Winslow. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 9 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winslow, with Father Jeffrey King officiating. Interment followed in Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
She was born on May 22, 1960, to Fred and Isabelle Gonzales in Winslow.
She was a Winslow High School graduate with the Class of 1978. She received a Fraternal Order of Police scholarship and attended Yavapai College, then continued her education at Northland Pioneer College, where she graduated from the Cosmetology Program.
She and her grandmother volunteered with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Her mother worked at the senior center also as a cook. She enjoyed helping the elderly or anyone who needed assistance.
While she was going to college, she had two kids, Randy and Uli. She married Alvin Nagle and they had a beautiful baby girl, Diamond. They moved to Phoenix and she worked for Harley’s Security Guard and many other security jobs.
She lost her husband, then her mother and after losing her father, she decided to move back to Win-slow. Her brother, Freddy Gonzales Jr., was admitted to a nursing home due to blindness and the need for dialysis, and needed a lot of care.
On June 1, 2012, she lost her daughter, Diamond. This was heartbreaking, losing her baby girl.
She was currently working and volunteering for Community Counseling Centers Inc. She decided to go to school and work full-time. She worked at self-healing classes and crafts and made several friends.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and cooking with family.
Survivors include her daughter, Ulie Gonzales (Brian) of Scottsdale; her son, Randy (Monica) Gonzales of Portland, Ore.; her brother, Freddy Gonzales Jr. of Winslow; three grandchildren, Michael, Brooklyn and Ma-son Gonzales; her aunts and uncles, Becky (Gilbert) Martinez, Felicia Ruiz, Delia Wormeley, Vera Marin, Max (Eva) Ruiz, Vivian Stinson, Bessie Williams, Carmen (Alfonso) Guzman, Rachel (Dickie) Smith, Dodie Flores and Butch (Barbara) Flores; and several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Isabelle Gonzales; her husband, Alvin Nagle; her daughter, Diamond Nagle; several uncles and aunts; and her grandparents.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
