The Arizona District 4 finals of the National Barrel Horse Association, held Nov. 17 at the Apache County Fairgrounds in St. Johns, featured the conclusion of several close races for the top prizes in the Open, Youth and Senior divisions.
Megan Stock won the 1-D Open season, followed by Linda Fagotti, Jody Heisler and Bailee Bain.
The 2-D Open season title went to Bailee Bain, followed by Jessica Finch, Jolene Baird, Michele Stock and Linda Fagotti.
Shasta Van Cleave won the 3-D open season, followed by Pandy Wyatt, Carolee DeWitt, Debbie Garvin and Lisa Johnson.
The 4-D Open season title went to Kent Darris, followed by Sherri Manygoats, Tammy Davis, Alyssa Brown, and Marisa Simpson and Randy Johnson in a tie for fifth place.
Year end Open winners received saddles; second place, hand tooled purses with Yellowhair buckles; third place, a silver headstall and breast collar set; fourth place, ESP saddle pads; and fifth place, NBHA horse blan-kets.
Bailee Bain won the 1-D Youth season.
The 2-D Youth season title went to Kallie Brannon, followed by Bailee Bain.
Bailee Bain won the 3-D Youth season.
Raney Pate won the 4-D Youth season.
Year end Youth winners received saddles and second place winners received Yellowhair buckles.
Jolene Baird won the 1-D Senior season, followed by Lisa Johnson.
The 2-D Senior season title went to Lisa Johnson, followed by Carolee DeWitt.
Kent Darris won the 3-D Senior season, followed by Randy Johnson and Tammy Davis.
The 4-D Senior season title went to Marsha Tucker, followed by Betty Campbell.
Year end Senior winners received a buckle frame with a Yellowhair buckle; second place, a breast collar; third place, an ESP saddle pad; and fourth place, an NBHA horse blanket.
Organizers offered their thanks to the arena crew and office help, including Pete and Michelle Ulibarri, Dillion, Jose, Jimmy Booth, Lisa and Randy Johnson, and all District 4 members who stepped up and made the season an amazing one.
