He was born to the late Valentine and Carlotta (Sandoval) Padilla in Holbrook on Nov. 1, 1937.
Fred was an excellent mechanic who loved to work on cars. In his younger years he worked for the Hol-brook Tribune delivering papers on his bike, a job he really enjoyed. Very outgoing, he loved to talk to people. He enjoyed hanging out at the local gas stations, where he would visit with people. Many will remember him drinking his coffee at the Hilltop Cafe, where he met and made many of his trucker friends.
A very kind, loving and patient man, he would help anyone out any way he could. His family was his pride and joy, especially his granddaughter, Faith.
Fred will be missed by all who had the privilege to call him friend.
