The Winslow Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Hornets 63-33 in Ganado last Thursday to complete a week in which they won three games in as many nights. The wins improved Winslow’s record to 14-2 and the squad remains undefeated against Arizona competition. Both of Winslow’s losses were at the Gallup Invitational Tournament held early in the season.
The Lady Bulldogs built a substantial 24-7 lead in the first quarter and were up 43-13 at the half. The mar-gin was 55-28 after three quarters of play.
Shandiin Armao led all scorers with 12 points for Winslow and Halle Hayes followed with 11 points.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Eagles 49-40 in Flagstaff on Wednesday.
They led 14-7 after the first period and 24-20 at the half. The margin was still a close 38-29 after three quarters of play.
Armao led all scorers with 18 points for Winslow. Hayes added 13 points. Savanna Bix led Flagstaff with 16 points.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Coconino Lady Panthers 54-31 at Flagstaff on Tuesday.
The visitors took control in the first period and led 19-7 at its end. They were up 28-19 at the half and 54-27 after three quarters.
Mattea Begaii led all scorers with 24 points for Winslow. Hayes and Armao each scored 9 for the Lady Bulldogs. Jasmine Golding led Coconino with 11 points.
The Lady Bulldogs were to journey to Window Rock on Tuesday to meet the Lady Scouts and will go to Lakeside to meet the Blue Ridge Lady Yellowjackets on Thursday, Jan. 17. Their busy schedule continues with home games against Flagstaff on Friday, Jan. 18, and Monument Valley on Saturday, Jan. 19.
