A $500 first place prize awaits the winner of the fifth annual Talent Contest, sponsored by Northland Pioneer College Student Government Association. The contest is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the Performing Arts Center on the Snowflake/Taylor-Silver Creek Campus. The runner-up takes home $250.
Auditions will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 8, 9, 22 and 23, at NPC’s Winslow-Little Colorado Campus, 1400 E. Third St., and at the Snowflake Campus, 1611 S. Main St., in the Learning Center Symposium Room at both locations. Contestants must bring their own music, instruments, accompanist and props.
The show will feature singing, dancing and comedy routines. The competition is open to the general public of all ages. Contestants will be divided into two age groups: 5 to 13, and 14 and up.
General admission for the show is $6 in advance or $8 on the day of the contest. Tickets are available through the PAC Box Office by calling (928) 536-6250 or online at www.npc.edu/tickets.
