The City of Holbrook appears to be attracting more businesses.
Tractor Supply has informed city officials that it will be opening one of its retail stores in the old Bashas’ building located off Navajo Blvd. Tractor Supply is reportedly the largest retail farm and ranch store chain in the nation with over 1,150 stores throughout the country. According to the firm’s website, the stores provide everything from welders and generators to animal care products, and men’s and women’s work wear. They also carry pet supplies, animal feed, power tools, riding mowers, and lawn and garden products.
Assistant City Manager Randy Sullivan said the company has already submitted plans for the store to the city, which includes a barn structure for hay and outdoor plants. No building permit is required for the store unless remodeling takes place. No timeframe was provided by the company for when the store would be completed.
In addition, Sullivan stated that the city received a permit request for a Carl’s Jr. restaurant sign for the old Kentucky Fried Chicken building, also located on Navajo Blvd. He said he did not know when that business would be opening its doors.
