The Winslow High School wrestling team managed a fourth place finish among the 21 schools participating in the Page Wrestling Classic Tournament on Jan. 18 and 19. Camp Verde won the event with a top score of 300.5. Prescott was a distant second at 162.5. Snow Canyon was third at 153 and Winslow was fourth at 147. The Bulldogs finished ahead of 17 schools, some of them much larger institutions. Individual performances from this tournament were not available.
On Jan. 23, the Bulldogs hosted Fountain Hills in a dual match and topped the Falcons 48-15.
In the 106-pound match Blane Foster of Winslow pinned Jordan Smout. In the 113-pound match there was a dou-ble forfeit. In the 120-pound match Leo Armijo of Winslow pinned Quinn Amick. In the 126-pound match Daniel Lo-pez of Winslow pinned Nicholas Kuhlmann.
In the 132-pound match Matt Bollin of Winslow pinned Connor Burke. In the 138-pound match Chad Edgmon of Winslow pinned Jack Reilly. In the 145-pound match Adrian Montoya of Winslow pinned Skyler Anselmo.
In the 152-pound match James Martine of Winslow pinned Josh Vaught. In the 160-pound match Andrew Capirchi of Fountain Hills scored a 3-0 decision over Jace Hardy. In the 170-pound match, Jacob Huddleston of Winslow won by forfeit. In the 182-pound match there was a double forfeit. In the 195-pound match Tyler Forrest of Fountain Hills won by forfeit.
In the 220-pound match Peter Carillo of Fountain Hills pinned Justin Brinkley. In the 285-pound match there was a double forfeit.
