A Sun Valley woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man who she believed assaulted her daughter.
According to Detective Tony Sutton of the Holbrook Police Department, Irene Denise Lindsey, 40, con-fronted Fernando Oliva, 31, of Holbrook at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, at his residence at the Economy Inn on Navajo Blvd. Although police have not released details of the incident, Oliva sustained a single stab wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries and was released the following day.
Lindsey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted homicide in connection with the incident.
