The Lobos were represented by nine wrestlers at the Division III state meet held in Prescott over the weekend, but no one represented Snowflake better than JT Bradley, who claimed the state title in the 285 pound class.
Bradley went 4-0 over the two days, defeating Jared Krall from Coconino 3-2 in the final match. Top seeded Bradley’s season mark is just as impressive as his state title, as he won 54 of 59 matches wrestled this season.
Cole Mortensen also made it to the title match in the 106 weight class, but came up short to finish as runner-up with a 3-1 record.
At 113 Wacey Wood placed sixth with a 2-3 record. Isaih Diaz also placed sixth, going 3-2 in the 138 class.
Zane Owens went 2-2 at 132, Clayton Solomon was 2-2 at 145 and Alex Foree went 2-2 at 182.
Mike Lancaster finished 1-2 in the 220 division. Jacob Lucas went 0-2 in the 160 pound class.
The Lobos finished fourth overall as a team with 88 points. Thunderbird took the team crown with 132.5 points, followed by Rio Rico with 91 and Coconino with 88.5.
