Marcia Gay (Rice) Bauer, 72, of Holbrook passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice of the Valley in Mesa.
Marcia was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Bloomington, Ind., to Kenneth E. and Alta Rice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Clarence and Mae Rice, and Fred and Hettie Hiland; her late husband, Gary Montgomery; and her youngest son, Gary Allen Montgomery.
Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Kenneth Bauer; son Timothy Daab (Lisa Smith Daab) of Bedford, Ind., daughter Kendra Sue DuMond (Jason Moore) of Bloomington, son Sean Daab of Phoenix, daughter TeAnna Paulsell (Jeremy Dean) of Phoenix, and stepsons Tom Bauer, Michael Bauer and Kenny Bauer; and her siblings, Kenneth Rice, Michele Flint, Melissa Devito and Mary Frances Strain.
Marcia’s greatest joys in life were her animals and her grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly, in-cluding grandchildren Jeremy Daab, Britney (Brett) Baker, JB Shively, Jeni (Jerry) Dizon, Lacie (Ricky) Riggle, Shawna Daab, Suzanne Montgomery, Haydon DuMond, Andrew Montgomery, Zachery Renfro, Jade Daab, Daniel Montgomery, Layton, Destin and Dayonna Bauer; and her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jagger, Adalynn, Alex, Annie, Jaxsen, Fynley, Blayton, Ryatt and Raiden.
Marcia lived a life full of family, crime shows, work and Diet Coke. She was a fun loving, charismatic and non-judgmental person. She loved everyone for who they are and for that, she will be greatly missed. We all love you, Nana, and hope you are dancing. We will think of you every day.
At Marcia’s request, there will be no services.
