The Lobos have advanced to the final four in the state tournament, thanks to weekend wins over Morenci and Fountain Hills.
Snowflake took down 20th ranked Morenci 66-43 on Friday in a game played at Northern Arizona University’s Skydome.
Early Monday morning they were the first team on the court to face 21st ranked Fountain Hills at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. With a final four berth on the line the Lobos built an early lead and maintained it throughout most of the game before finally ending the Falcons’ season with a 71-55 win.
The Lobos will face ninth seeded Valley Christian at 8 o’clock tonight (Feb. 22) at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale. With a win they would see either No. 2 Gilbert Christian or No. 3 Scottsdale Christian in the championship game, which will be played at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Jobing.com.
The Lobos head into the final weekend of the post-season with an overall mark of 25-7.
