The girls’ parents provided and prepared the food at home, and the time the girls’ spent serving dinner was part of 15 hours they will give in community service to earn their Inch Worm of Service badge. The girls chose to serve the dinner on the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts on March 12, 1912.
