Glenn E. “Bud” Wickham, 93, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in the home he loved with his family and his loving dog Lady around him. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the First United Methodist Church, located at 101 E. Hillview in Winslow.
He was born June 6, 1919, in Richmond, Calif., eight minutes behind his twin sister Wilma. Their parents were Arthur and Lela Wickham, and their siblings were Dorthy, Ralph “Bish” and Vernis.
Due to Glenn’s health the family was told to move to Arizona, so Mr. Wickham transferred to Winslow with the Santa Fe Railroad in 1921. While in Winslow two more children were born to them, Arthur and Louella.
Glenn married Oleta May, and they enjoyed their children, Teri Lynn (Chuck) and Myron “Buck,” and were blessed with three grandchildren, Kacee, Joseph and Kristi, along with great grandchildren Kavion and KaDee Ann.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, or Northland Hospice and Palliative Care, 452 N. Switzer Canyon Drive, Suite A, Flagstaff, Ariz. 86001.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
