Walter Kornatowski, 66, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Snowflake after short battle of cancer. A memorial service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Cedar Hills Senior Center on Concho Highway east of Snowflake. His family invites you to come and remember Walt with them.
He was born in Scranton, Pa., to Alphonse and Helen Kornatowski.
Walt moved to Phoenix in 1980 with his family and spent his last 14 yrs in Snowflake, where he was an active and a valued member of the community.
He was a talented, smart, quick-minded man. As a master carpenter and amazing inventor, he could do or make anything he set his mind to. Also, he had the best sense of humor and delighted in practical jokes. His granddaughters looked forward to his birthday cards every year because they were always so funny. He is missed very much by all who knew him.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracey; his son, Jeff; his grandson, Dillon; his five granddaughters, Jessica, Amanda, Emilie, Lily and Ava; and his sister, Marcia McIntyre.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
