Our Goodtime Grandma, Elaine John Westover, 96, died just as a new day was dawning on Friday, April 5, 2013, at The Carriage House in Snowflake following a lengthy illness incident to her age. The public visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at the Joseph City Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The funeral service will also take place at the Joseph City Chapel, beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 12, where additional visitation will begin one hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Joseph City Cemetery.
She was born in Mancos, Colo., on Jan. 25, 1917, to the late Charles Henry and Mary Alice (Ellis) John.
Elaine moved from her native Colorado home to Arizona at the age of 18. She lived in Joseph City for many, many years, and knew just about everybody in town and everyone in town, in turn, knew her. She was a wonderful mother to her family and a devoted wife to her husband, and truly was a loving daughter to her parents.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.Obit-Westover
