Competing at the Red Rock Invitational meet in Sedona, the Lobos claimed first place in the varsity boys’ division with 138.5 points and second place in the varsity girls’ division with 116 points. Canyon State placed second and Sedona was third on the boys’ side, while Sedona took first and Payson finished in third on the girls’ side.
This meet was a split meet, with the freshmen and sophomores competing in their own divisions. The young Lobos finished tied for fourth and the young Lady Lobos finished in first place.
In the varsity boys’ 100 meter dash, Landon Godfrey placed seventh with a time of 11.87, followed by Lukas Van Woutke in 10th place; Lehi Caldwell, 24th; Reggie Peterson, 30th; and Alex Denham, 33rd.
In the 200 meter dash. Jeff Hannon Brooks was fourth in 24.26, followed by Kegan Kay in 11th place; Lehi Caldwell, 20th; and Marcell Vockner, 24th.
In the 400 meter dash, Joey Cox was fourth in 53.07; followed by Lukas Van Woutke in 10th place; and Marcell Vockner, 18th.
In the 800 meter dash, Joey Cox placed third with a time of 2:06; followed by Jordan Gardner in fourth place; and Daylon Flake, 18th.
In the 1600 meter run, Jordan Gardner was fourth with a time of 4:55.
In the 3200 meter run, Kaydn Davis placed 15th with a time of 11:48, followed by Bryon Hanlon in 18th place.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Dustin Shumway placed first with a time of 15.86, followed by Mathew Tenney in fifth place in 17.52.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Dustin Shumway placed first with a time of 40.93, followed by Mathew Tenney in10th place.
The team of Jeff Hannon Brooks, Landon Godfrey, Kegan Kay and Dustin Shumway placed second in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 45.57.
In the 4×400 meter relay, Jeff Hannon Brooks, Jordan Gardner, Joey Cox and Dustin Shumway placed first with a time of 3:35.
The Lobos entered two teams in the 4×800 meter relay, with Joey Cox, Jordan Gardner, Jeff Hannon Brooks and Jacob Johnson placing second with a time of 8:42, and Kaydn Davis, Thad Frei, Daylon Flake and Jesse Lewis placing sixth with a time of 9:46.
J.T. Bradley placed second in the shot put with a toss of 46-05, followed by Reggie Peterson in fourth place; and Alex Denham, 22nd.
In the discus, Reggie Peterson placed third with a throw of 138-03, followed by J.T. Bradley in fifth place; and Alex Denham, 21st.
In the high jump, Everett Lunt was fifth, clearing a height of 6-02, followed by Kegan Kay in seventh place.
In the pole vault, Quentin Scott finished third with a height of 13-06, followed by Raymond Shumway in eighth place; Jacob Johnson, 10th; Austin Webster, 12th; and Paul Granados, 16th.
In the long jump, Landon Godfrey finished in second place with a jump of 20-00, followed by Kegan Kay in fourth place; Lukas Van Woutke, 12th; and Paul Granados, 21st.
In the triple jump, Landon Godfrey placed second, traveling a distance of 40-06, followed by Lukas Van Woutke in eighth placed with 36-01.
In the varsity girls’ 100 meter dash, Vanessa Fox placed seventh with a time of 13.65, followed by Kadi Johnson in ninth place; McKenzie Wood, 14th; and Alexis Buelteman, 16th.
In the 200 meter dash, Sydney Olson placed third with a time of 28.22, followed by Alexis Buelteman in 12th place; Jessica Neff, 13th; and Nikki Hill, 15th.
In the 400 meter dash, Melissa Allen placed second with a time of 1:05, followed by Lilly Perkins in fifth place in 1:09.
In the 800 meter run, Shelbi Prestwich was 22nd with a time of 3:11.
In the 1600 meter run, Shelbi Prestwich was 16th with a time of 7:17.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Kianna Natividad crossed the line first with a time of 16.72, followed by Kilee Richards in sixth place in 18.45.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Kilee Richards placed third with a time of 54.09, followed by Charly Flake in sixth place in 55.52.
The combo of Kianna Natividad, Kadi Johnson, Sydney Olson, and McKenzie Wood placed third in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 53.09.
Snowflake placed second in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 4:34 posted by Jessica Neff, Charly Flake, Lilly Perkins and Melissa Allen.
In the shot put, Jessica Neff placed second with a toss of 34-09, followed by Hanah Uchytil in eighth place with 27-05.
In the discus, Jessica Neff placed third with a throw of 98-06, followed by Hanah Uchytil in 15th place with 61-01.
Vanessa Fox placed second in the high jump, clearing 5-02, followed by Mikaila Jordan in fifth place at 4-10.
In the triple jump, Sydney Olson placed second with a distance of 33-01, followed by Kadi Johnson in third place; and Kilee Richards, fifth.
Those finishing third or higher in the freshman and sophomore competitions included Skylee Scott, who placed first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.03, second in
the 200 meter dash in 29.47 and second in the pole vault, clearing 7-00.
Annika Decker placed first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.99, first in the high jump, clearing 4-06, and first in the pole vault with 7-06.
Rebecca Neff was third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time 19.53 and third in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 55.19.
Lilly Perkins placed third in the pole vault, clearing 6-06.
Brenton Ballard placed first in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.58, third in the long jump with 17-05 and second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 43.40.
Keagan Bjorn was second in the high jump, clearing a height of 6-00.
