Marcella Ann Ward, 63, passed away peacefully at her home with her husband by her side on Thursday, April 4, 2013. She had a heart full of love for Jehovah, family and friends! Services are pending and will be held at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, 201 E. Whipple St. in Show Low.
She was born April 17, 1949, to Michael and Mary Virginia Valdez in Dragerton, Utah. She was raised in Durango, Colo.
She married Ernest Lee Ward on July 7, 1970. They lived in Lawndale, Redondo Beach and Torrance, Calif., before settling in Snowflake. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
Survivors include her parents, Joe and Virginia Willcoxon of Copperas Cove Texas; her husband, Ernest Ward of Snowflake; her brothers, Miguel Valdez of Bloomfield, N.M., and Mark Valdez of Riverside, Calif.; her daughter, Serena (Russell) Mallon of Escondido, Calif.; her two grandsons, Paul and Christopher Mallon; and all her loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marlayna Lee Ward; her brother, Daniel Valdez; and her father, Michael Valdez Jr.
