The Joseph City baseball team comes into the final two weeks of the season needing to win as many games as possible to secure a Division IV state tournament bid.
The Wildcats dropped all four games played in two sets of doubleheader action last week, losing first to Northland Prep 11-10 and 15-3 on Thursday. On Saturday they fell in both games at Winslow, losing the first 14-3 and the second, 13-3. They were scheduled to face Valley Sanders on Tuesday in another doubleheader for their only games this week. Next week they wrap up the regular season by playing Mogollon on Monday at Heber, then hosting the Mustangs on Tuesday. On Wednesday they finish out the schedule with a road trip to Seligman.
If they can finish the season ranked inside the top 24 in power points, they will earn a state tournament bid.
