Photo By Julie Wiessner Getting ready for the Thursday, May 16, arrival of the Run For The Wall motorcycle riders in Holbrook are (left to right) Bob George of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), Legion Commander Robbie Cheney, Action Committee President Paul Garcia, a SAL member, (on ladder) SAL Jimmy Kennedy and Legion member Randy Trujillo. Repairing a swamp cooler and giving American Legion Post 37 a general cleaning-up are a few of the things these members are doing to prepare for their guests. The Run begins today in Los Angeles, Calif., and will conclude on Friday, May 24, as thousands of Vietnam veterans and their supporters converge on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. The riders will make a run through town, passing by the schools, then head to the post for lunch. Said Garcia, “All of the area businesses and the entire community have pitched in to provide lunch for these veterans.”
