Snowflake wrapped up the track season by crowning three individual state champions at the Division III state meet held over the weekend in Mesa. Dustin Shumway, Landon Godfrey and Vanessa Fox all claimed the top spots in individual events.
The Lobo boys’ team finished third overall in the team standings with 66 points. Williams Field won the team title, scoring 82, followed by Higley with 73.
Mingus Union took the girls’ team crown with 89 points followed by Sedona with 66 and Higley with 52. Snowflake finished 11th in the standings with 23.5 points.
Dustin Shumway won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.15. He also placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.07.
Landon Godfrey picked up his title in the triple jump, covering a distance of 45-04.
In the 400 meter dash, Joey Cox placed 22nd with a time of 53.58. He also placed sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.
Matthew Tenney was 22nd in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.08.
Brenton Ballard placed 14th in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.69.
Everett Lunt finished tied for second in the high jump, clearing 6-04, followed by Kegan Kay in 10th place at 6-00.
Matt Babb placed fourth in the pole vault, clearing 13-06.
Brenton Ballard placed eighth in the long jump with a distance of 20-08, followed by Dustin Shumway in 10th with 20-04 and Landon Godfrey, 14th with 20-00.
J.T. Bradley placed second in the shot put with a toss of 48-05, Reggie Petersen was 12th with 43-08 and Logan Rackley, 20th with 41-01.
Reggie Petersen placed second in the discus with a throw of 140-06, followed by J.T. Bradley in fifth place with a throw of 130-05.
The boys’ relay teams placed 13th in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 45.19, ninth in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 3:33 and seventh in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 8:33.
Vanessa Fox traveled 17-02 feet to win the long jump crown. She also tied for third in the high jump, clearing 5-0.
McKenzie Wood placed 17th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.56 followed by Kadi Johnson in 21st place in 13.80.
Melissa Allen finished 12th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.
Kilee Richards placed 12th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.87 and 23rd in the 300 meter hurdles in 54.53.
Kianna Natividad placed 14th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.05, followed by and Charly Flake in 22nd place in 18.04.
Skylee Scott placed 17th in the pole vault, clearing 8-00.
Kadi Johnson placed ninth in the long jump with a distance of 16-01, McKenzie Wood was 15th with 15-09 and Kianna Natividad, 23rd with 14-07.
In the triple jump, Sydney Olsen finished in sixth place with a jump of 34-05 and Kadi Johnson was 12th with 32-00.
Jessica Neff placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 36-02 and 10th in the discus with a throw of 93-09.
Hanah Uchytil was 10th in the shot put with a toss of 32.03.
The girls’ relay teams placed 10th in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 52.09 and 18th in the 4×400 me-ter relay with a time of 4:30.
