Jimmie Patterson Jr., 37, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Teesto. Prayer service was held May 15 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winslow. Interment followed in Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1975, in Winslow.
Jimmie was last employed by HACI Mechanical for two years as an HVAC sheet metal associate. He took pride in his line of work in sheet metal, contributing to building of Bank One Ballpark/Chase Field and Twin Arrows Casino. He had resided in Phoenix since 1997.
He belonged to the Native American Church, believing in the Navajo tradition. He liked to play basketball, ride horses and goat roping. He loved dogs, especially puppies. He also loved to cook out/barbecue.
Survivors include his wife, Lolita Dickson; his daughter, Alicia Patterson; parents, Jimmie Sr. and Evelyn Patterson; two sisters, Vera Begaye and Patricia Patterson, both of Castle Butte; and two brothers, Darren Patterson of White Cone and Dewayne Patterson of Castle Butte.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Kanuho; and an uncle, Emerson Kanuho.
A memorial fund has been set up at Wells Fargo.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
