Nancy June Little, 74, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her home in Lakeside. A memorial service will be held at 10 o’clock this morning (May 22) at the Porter Mountain Fellowship, 1790 W. Commerce Drive in Lakeside.
Nancy was born June 23, 1938, in Sycamore, Ill., to Andrew and Maxine Smith Reh.
She moved to the White Mountains in 1971, where she worked for the school systems and the Lakeside Market. She was the first female detective for the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office, where she retired in 2002.
She married Jerry in December 1986.
Survivors include her loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” Little; four loving sons, Allen (Jeannette) Minnihan, Bret (Loa) Minnihan, Curt Minnihan and Dale Minnihan; five grandchildren, Michael Minnihan, Gregg (Sachi) Minnihan, Kevin (Diana) Minnihan, Kristin Minnihan and Ryan (Natasha) Minnihan; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Chelsea, Alex, Emily, Ryland, Kayla and Emma; and two sisters, JoAnn Beirmann and Patsy (Dale) Remala.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Nancy’s name to Victory Junction, Phoenix Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
