Area high school seniors will be in the spotlight at commencement exercises taking place over the next week.
Holbrook High School commencement exercises will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Roadrunner Stadium. The HHS valedictorian is Zachary Smithson, the son of Bryan and Mari Smithson. Salutatorian Eryn Ruechel is the daughter of Joel and Michaela Ruechel. The guest speaker for the evening will be former HHS teacher Ginny Arthur.
Promotional exercises for Holbrook Junior High School eighth graders will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Roadrunner Stadium.
Joseph City High School commencement exercises will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday in the B.G. Bennett Auditorium. Lexi Edwards, daughter of Jim and Jeri Edwards, and Taylor Hill, daughter of Sheri Hill and the late Bobby Hill, are co-valedictorians. Salutatorian Jacob Fields is the son of Bryan and Julie Fields. The guest speaker for the evening will be former Joseph City Elementary School teacher Myla Bolton.

Snowflake High School commencement exercises will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the SHS football field. Valedictorian is Emily Evans, the daughter of Richard and Tina Evans of Taylor. The salutatorian is Lindsay Webb, the daughter of Jason and Stacy Webb of Snowflake.
Students graduating with highest distinction include Hyrum Hanlon, Dallin Merrell, Jackie Routhier and Brett Brewer.
Students graduating with distinction include Kayleen Carpenter, Brylee Coplan, Jacob Johnson, Doug Brimhall, Judy Bloomfield and Shelbi Rawlins.
Winslow High School commencement exercises will begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at Emil Nassar Stadium. Valedictorian is Emmett Foster, son of Afton and Lisa Foster, and Jeannie and John Jacobs. Salutatorian is Brittni Sorensen, the daughter of Debra Sorensen and Edward Wilbanks. The guest speaker will be former Winslow School District Governing Board member Royce Greer.
