Judith Miller Lowery, 67, of Shumway passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Haven of Show Low after a courageous battle with cancer. She wished to have only a service, and gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life. The service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 E. Love Lake Road in Taylor, and will be immediately followed by a luncheon. At 5 o’clock that evening there will be a cowboy dinner at the home of the Lowrys, 3109 Love Lake Road in Taylor, and all are warmly welcomed.
She was born in Prescott on Aug. 31, 1944, and spent time growing up in Hillside, Tolleson and Arkansas. She was the youngest daughter of two born to Archie B. and Dorothy (Reagan) Miller.
Judith worked for several government agencies throughout her life and enjoyed working as a dispatcher for the Arizona Department of Agriculture the best. After retiring in the late 1990s, she became a fulltime homemaker so that she could enjoy watching her grandchildren grow up.
Judith married on Aug. 14, 1965, and after 48 years of marriage leaves behind her husband, Lester A. Lowery; her daughter, JoanEllen Lowery-Lowry; two grandsons, Mark Allen and Waylon James Lowry; two great-grandchildren, Zoey Marie and Blake Allen Lowry; her sister, Jolene Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
