Torivia Lopez Romero, 83, of Holbrook passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Rosary will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, followed by a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 212 E. Arizona in Holbrook.
She was born in Winslow to Francisco and Catalina Lopez on April 16, 1935.
Torivia and her late husband, Tony, owned Tony’s Cafe in Holbrook. She was hard working.
She enjoyed dancing. She liked to have her hair and nails done, and liked going to the casino and playing Bingo at the service center. She loved gifts and flowers. Torivia liked Mexican music, and preferred to speak and watch TV in Spanish.
Torivia loved her family. She and her family had lots of good times together, and they are grateful for the time spent together travelling and eating out.
Survivors include her daughter, Diana Romero; her five sons, Manuel Romero, Raymond Romero, John Romero, Joseph Romero and Anthony Romero; and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, in 1992.
