Families in Service, a newly formed group in Winslow, invites all to participate in an enrichment event scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Girl Scout House, located at 500 E. Cherry St. in Winslow Families in Service, in collaboration with Alice’s Place, will hold enrichment activities for families that want to serve communities, whether local, national or global.
Parents will hear about their influence on early childhood development from Cynthia Pardo of First Things First. Sue Branch of Parenting Arizona will present Family Support for School Aged Children.
Children will enjoy story time by Docia Blalock of the Winslow Public Library, and Fitness Fun facilitated by Tiffany Velasquez of the Winslow Indian Health Care Center.
Refreshments will be provided by Captain Tony’s Pizza.

Families in Service is designed to link up people who want to volunteer with groups that need volunteers, and functions to coordinate events that allow families to serve where needed.
