LeRain Lee Frost passed away after complications due to a brain tumor on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Mesa. She was surrounded by family and friends. A viewing prior to the service will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 29, at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will begin at 10 a.m., after which interment will be held at the Woodruff Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Snowflake to Arthur Lee and Leah (McNeil) Lee. She was the eighth of nine children, and was raised in the Lakeside area while attending school primarily in Snowflake. As a 1963 graduate of Snowflake Union High School LeRain performed as a Loboette, earned the coveted Crisco Award and enjoyed dancing.
LeRain was a talented artist, seamstress, quilter, gardener and educator (just to name a few.) She also worked as an instructional aide for the Holbrook Unified School District for 35 years and served in her community, as well as her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ray Frost; three children, Mashell (Muff) Frost, Robert Boyd Frost and Shawna (Frost) Knudsen; and eight grandchildren, Bryce Boyd Frost (22), Dallin Dean Frost (18), Krysta Mashell VanDeventer (15), Tara Lee Frost (12), Maleah Michelle Frost (7), Christian Dane Knudsen (6), Harper Rae Knudsen (3) and Jorgen Donald Knudsen (1).
