Eugene Leman, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greasewood. Interment followed at the Greasewood Community Cemetery.
He was born July 27, 1941, in Ganado.
Gene will be remembered by relatives and friends for his concern for others, his patience and his kindness.
He was a leader, someone to look up to and was always there for those who needed him.
Gene had great love for his two sons and they returned that love for him.
He was always ready to tackle any project, but his favorite tools were bailing wire and rope.
He retired from the Indian Health Service in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; two sisters, Ethel Leman and Mary Day; two sons, Charles Leman, and Robert Hasserd and wife Elizabeth; two granddaughters, Capree Door and Maggie Bowen; his great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, John Paul, Clarence and Leroy; and one sister, Clara Pooley.
