Linda Ann Grandstaff, 70, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in Winslow after a long battle with illness. Surrounded by loved ones she entered the eternal peace of living with the Lord. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Methodist Church, 118 W. Arizona St. in Holbrook.
Linda was born Jan. 6, 1943, to James and Mildred Bloomer.
She was a teacher for nearly four decades, and spent her life serving and loving the people around her.
Linda belonged to the Methodist Church and was a special member of the congregation. She strived every day to live a selfless life and tried to put others’ needs above her own.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Grandstaff; her son, Joshua; her granddaughter, Kayla; two brothers, James and Richard Bloomer; one niece, Christie Hess; three nephews, John, Brent and Jeff Bloomer; and her dog, Sugarbear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Bloomer; and a nephew, James Bloomer III.
