Homecoming Week is slated Monday through Saturday, Sept. 16-21, at Holbrook High School. The theme is Welcome to the ‘90s.
On Monday, it’s Saved By The Bell, with students wearing their favorite college outfit. Powder-puff football is planned at 7 p.m. and a bonfire after the game.
On Tuesday, it’s Sister Sister, with students dressing as twins. Macho volleyball is slated from 2 to 2:30 p.m. A volleyball game against Chinle begins at 6:30 p.m., with movie night scheduled at Roadrunner Stadium after the game.
On Wednesday, students will be dressing as Steve Erkel from Family Matters. Class games will be held at Roadrunner Stadium from 9:55 to 11:55 a.m., and a dodge ball tournament is slated at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, it’s Fresh Prince of Bel Air, with students dressing hip-hop. An air band competition is set from 9:45 to 11:55 a.m.
Finally, on Friday, it’s USA High, with students wearing red, white and blue. The Homecoming Parade will start at 12:15 p.m., traveling down West Hopi Drive to Navajo Blvd. and back up Erie Street. The Homecoming Carnival, which is also open to the community, is scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the student parking lot at HHS. Kickoff for the Homecoming game with the Window Rock Scouts is slated at 7 p.m.
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
