Hilda Hanson passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, in Snowflake.
She was born to Lilian and William Gregory in Leeds, England, in January 1920, and grew up in Yorkshire, England.
Hilda was trained as a registered nurse in Harrogate, England. She was a nurse in the Royal Air Force during World War II.
In 1950, she married Thomas Edward Hanson, to whom she was married for nearly 63 years.
After the war she had a career as a head nurse until 1967 when she and her family immigrated to the United States. After moving to the U.S., she devoted herself to serving her family and church.
Hilda was a wonderful mother to her son Geoff Hanson and daughter Rosemary Aitchison. She will be greatly missed by her children, son-in-law Chris Aitchison, grandchildren Melody Steed and Simon Aitchison, and the many others who had the good fortune to have her in their lives.
