Elaine Ileen Plumley Slaughter, 58, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Winslow. A memorial service was held Oct. 15 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inurnment will be at Williams/Mountain View Cemetery in Williams.
She was born in Corning, N.Y. She had been an Arizona resident since she was about 3 years old, moving from New York.
She was employed at a bookstore for three years. She also donated her time at a school in Kingman. She loved to bake. She was born into the LDS church. She loved learning and taking college classes to become a paralegal
She also loved her children.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina Slaughter (Jermaine) of Las Vegas, Nev.; her son, Clifton Slaughter of Kingman; four sisters, Aloma Tanner (Dave) of West Valley, Utah, Kathleen L. Pate (Jim) of Winslow, Sharon Hardy of Pinetop and Sherri Allsman of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one brother, Larry Plumley (Mary) of Kingman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace John Plumley; her mother Verna Maria Plumley; and her oldest brother, Dalles Plumley St. John of Cordova, Tenn., who passed away earlier this year.
