The Environmental Protection Agency will host a public hearing on the Navajo Generating Station proposed rulemaking on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Hopi Day School, located a quarter-mile east of Main Street in Kykotsmovi.
EPA is requesting comment on two proposed rulemakings for the Navajo Generating Station. These proposals require the plant to cut nitrogen oxide emissions and reduce visibility impacts in national parks and wilderness areas.
The Kykotsmovi Village open house is slated from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by the public hearing from 6 to 9 p.m.
