The Holbrook Police Department is hoping to fill a Hummer full of food for the holidays beginning this week. The Hummer will be parked at Safeway and the police department is asking that residents help out the needy this season by filling it up with non-perishable food items.
All food collected will be given to the Catholic Charities Food Bank. The Hummer will be parked at Safeway from 4 to 6 p.m. today (Nov. 8), and Fridays, Nov. 22, Dec. 6 and 20. It will also be at the Parade of Lights Festival at the Historic Courthouse on Dec. 14. In addition, there are donation boxes located at Holbrook City Hall, Dollar General, Z92 Radio Station, Holbrook Public Library, Tate’s Auto Center and The Tribune-News.
