Mary Ann Walters passed peacefully with her husband and children at her side on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. A memorial service was held Nov. 24 at Desert View Baptist Church.
She was born in Gallup, N.M., and later moved to Winslow, where she had lived for many years.
Everyone who knew her loved her. She was kind, thoughtful, and always waiting to help others and make their lives special. She was strong in her faith for the Lord.
Some of her favorite things were listening to Gospel and praise music, and spending time with her family. She loved making crafts and working in her garden. She had many interests.
She will be remembered and missed by many.
Survivors include her husband and partner of 47 years, Dan; four children, Bud (Roberta) Fugatt, Marie (Don) Friesen, Faye (Curt) Browning and Ryan (Pam) Walters; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; one brother, Ron (Peggy) Pelton; and two sisters, Sue (Sam) Echols and Peggy June (Mike) Malone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Louella Pelton.
