Students were invited to represent their native culture through an artistic representation using any medium they wished, then enter their work in an art contest. Winners included (left to right) sixth grader Myron Begay, first place; fourth grader Tyera Claw, second; and fifth grader Marissa Attakai, third. Honorable mention went to sixth grader Cordell Begay, fourth graders Makayla Herrera, Namath Gene and December Begay, third graders Mackalee Williams, Donnie Nez and Camden Sells, and second graders Kiora Begay, Serenity Hughes and Tristen Attakai. All artwork will be displayed in the hallway at the school.
