Ruby Gay Love Plumb, a loving wife and mother, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. She is now free of pain and suffering. Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taylor. The concluding service and interment immediately followed at the Taylor Cemetery.
She was born on April 7, 1948.
Ruby was a giver and she cared for many people over the years. She was a homemaker, which was a full-time job.
She grew up in Douglas, came to Taylor and met her loving husband, Lane J. Plumb. They were married on Nov. 24, 1966.
Ruby served in many capacities through the years. She was a friend and “mother” to many children as she was so generous with her compassion, and lived, and loved, to help others.
She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1975, and was always a great missionary through tender acts of service and love to her community and family. She knew how to give “tough-love” and her love was always unconditional. Ruby loved the Savior and His Gospel. She served in the Relief Society of her ward as well as the Primary. She also served in the Genealogy Library and was the ward librarian.
Ruby possessed many talents, and loved sewing, cooking, crafting, bird watching and collecting trinkets. Her little tokens of giving will be missed, but we know she will always be there guiding us and giving in other ways.

Survivors include her husband, Lane Plumb; seven children, Jesse Lane Plumb and his children, Desiree, Chelsea, Brooke and Catherine; Katy Ann and Mel Chee and their children, Jessica (Craig) Williams, Venesa and Elder Preston Chee; Verner George Plumb and his children, Noah, Steven, Orion and Kyle; Billy Joe Plumb and his children, Christopher, Katelyn and Madison; A.J.
