Gevena Clay, 29, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, in Lakeside. Funeral services were held Dec. 11 at Skylight Ministries in Birdsprings. Interment was at the Curtis family plot.
She was born in Tuba City on May 30, 1984.
Gevena liked dancing, listening to various music and sports. She was last employed at Pinetop/Lakeside Golf Course.
Survivors include her sons, Isaiah Clay, Kauswell Redhouse, Bronson Dailey and Amor Dailey; her significant other, Richard Attakai; four sisters, Shirleen George, Sandra Yazzie, Geneva Chee and Levena Clay; four brothers, Ronnie George, Raymond E. Clay, Vance Clay and Tsosie Clay; and her parents, Raymond and Susie Clay.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tsosie and Ivy Clay; an uncle, Davis Clay; her maternal grandparents, Walker and Jessie George; and an aunt, Rose Nelson.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
