David Dean Ward, 49, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in Snowflake after a short battle with cancer. Services were held Dec. 9 at the Shilow family plot.
He was born Oct. 21, 1964, to Rosalie and John Ward.
David’s interests were hockey, baseball, horses and cats.
He served in the United States Marine Corps for 12 years. He served in the Persian Gulf War, and had rifle expert badges and logistic embarkation specialist, as well as four good conduct medals.
Survivors include his mother, Rosalie Vroome; his stepfather Richard Vroome of Snowflake; two brothers, Robert (Emily and family) and Tony (Emily and family); three nieces, Melissa Christina, Kaylee and Talia; and a nephew Shawn Ward.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Rosalie Brown of California.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
