Gary Dean Cox, 70, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Chandler. A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (Jan. 3) at the Winslow Elks Lodge. There will be a potluck luncheon at the lodge following the burial at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1943, in Winslow to Merle Ralph and Marguerite Mae Cox.
Gary attended Winslow High School, graduating in 1962.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Gary worked for BNSF railroad as an engineer.
Survivors include his children, Michael J. Cox, Kristina Genae Cox and Lynne Marguerite McElhinney; and his brother, Ted L. Cox.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Mae Cox; and his father, Merle R. Cox.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
