The Winslow Bulldogs defeated the Hopi Bruins 56-38 in a home game Tuesday evening. The win improved Winslow’s record to 13-6 for the season.
The first quarter was very evenly played and ended with the score tied 11-11. Winslow went on a rampage in the second quarter and built a commanding 36-21 lead by the intermission. The margin increased to 51-29 by the end of the third quarter and the Bulldogs coasted to victory.
Kai Kelly of Hopi led all scorers with 16 points.
Stevin Nelson led Winslow with 12 points, followed by Milland Thomas with 9 and Trelonnie Sanders with 8.

The Bulldogs were slated to go on the road to play the Alchesay Falcons Thursday night in Whiteriver and will take on the Warriors on Saturday, Jan. 11, in Tuba City.
